Flipbook Animations
This week, Youth4Youth was pleased to hold another STEM session at ESF South Island School where we taught the students about frame-by-frame animation. Students learnt about how to create the illusion of movement by drawing each incremental frame individually. We also showed the students some famous examples of frame-by-frame animations like the 1933 film, King Kong.
We were able to split the students into teams of three or four, so that they could work together to make their own animations. It was great to have the students explore Flip Anim, a software used to create flipbook animations online. Youth4Youth was very pleased to see the students finished flipbooks at the end of this session!
